Hi,

I am going to be buying a new Macbook Pro soon when the new line comes out. I just wanted to know how much hard drive space the laptop will have.

Is the hard drive space that is advertised on the site equal to the amount of free space that will be available when I get my computer, or is the advertised space equal to the total amount of space but the available space will be lower due to preloaded content?

Thanks

Well it depends on what HDD you get in it...and Snow Leopard minus half the junk takes about 10-15gb of space.

Total available size will be lower... the physical drive is the size quoted so once they load the operating system on there you loose 10 GBish
