Just watching Stargate SG1 and saw two quicksilvers in an acura commercial.

It's low light, but if you look at the guy's desk at the beginning commercial when they go to an establishing shot, you can see on the right two quicksilver G4s right next to each other!

I thought it was interesting.. just one of those "where's waldo?", "I found 'em" thing!

And in front of him I think he has either 12" iBook or 12" PB AL.

I think they are PowerMac MDDs (Mirrored Drive Doors) not Quicksilvers.

Oh you're right, I noticed what they were I got the names mixed up.

You suppose they put them in there to catch the eye of mac users (who have more money than the average PC user), and at the same time PC users wouldn't even notice--the computer would just fit the decor.

I think they used them more for effect, like he's an artsy designer with a clean look, like those macs. Eh commerical worked for me...

i always thought it was wierd that they were just hanging there under the Bonsai... doesn't seem like they're plugged in at all.

Well you know, PowerMac MDDs are known to enhance the Zen mood. Yeah, practically every Zen master knows that a PowerMac MDD model, or any PowerMac model produced after 1999 for that matter, emanates mind altering effects that make you want to buy Bonsai trees, live a peaceful life and buy a brand-spanking new Acura MDX.

Maybe a really thick bonsai would help mute the roar . . .

no no, the MDD's diffuse Zen energy with those large distracting doors.

Now a Quicksilver has a nice little speaker port where you can focus. This works very well for meditating positive Chi as well. :D
