I use a sited builder on webs.com and if you do not pay for ad-free you have annoying ads on your site. But, if I disable the sidebar, which includes recent photos, members, and the blog/RSS feed, I get no ad. Is it worth it to disable these features for an ad-free enviorment? thanks!

You're not really getting this hosting free, your paying with ads on your website. To remove this sidebar will ether temporarily hide the ads(The company may rotate the position ads are displayed) or since your essentially stealing by not having the ads displayed then they may suspend your service.
He's not stealing if he is just using a Webs feature, the ability to disable the sidebar.
