Ad-Hoc AND Internet? :S

Hey everyone,

I connect to the Internet via wifi and airport.

There is an iPad app that lets me control a mix in pro tools via wi fi to the iMac however you can put it in ad hoc mode for a better connection.

Is it possible for me to have it on ad hoc mode while also having the iMac connect to the airport express for Internet? Or is it one or the other?
