Over my head on this one. I am just trying to use an existing legacy hp laser printer that does not have built in wifi. I located the external wireless print server compatible with the printer. HP support documentation states that an adhoc network must be established with the SSID on the jet direct ( named hpsetup) before there can be an IP address for the jet direct. I am having difficulty setting up the ad hoc network to communicate with the jet direct. I am using a Macbook Pro running Yosemite. Any guidance will be appreciated.
