Adapter connected to adapter?

Hi, I just bought a 12" MacBook to replace my 2013 13" RMBP. I'm currently looking for adapters to buy and came across a USB type c multi-port adapter (https://www.amazon.co.uk/1byone-Mul...g-ChromeBook/dp/B019BUQC7O/ref=cm_wl_huc_item). I would like to know if it would be possible to connect a HDMI to VGA adapter (such as this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M3VL...lid=1W5CMZ1KOV0HW&coliid=I2NCTURI94TPLQ&psc=1) into this adapter? Any help will be much appreciated, thank you.

It's hit or miss, the issue is the power necessary to drive the HDMI signal.

When I first got my RMB I tried a third party HDMI adapter and it didn't work, wound up buying the Apple version which has functioned flawlessly for over a year.

I'm with BJ these new adaptors are not equal and I would stick with Apples offerings

Even with Apple you cannot piggy back adaptors ie the triple and the single
