I will be going up to my cabin and have to use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop, is there a way to increase the strength from my phone to my laptop?

If I understand correctly, the weak link here is the signal from your phone to the tower? The signal from your phone to your machine is probably plenty strong as it is. So, you want to boost the mobile signal?

Yes that sounds about accurate.

You want a cell signal booster, but you need to be careful as some will only work for older data signals (slower speeds). You want to be sure it works for 4G for whatever carrier you have.
