Adapter to connect external monitor to MBP?

Really newbie question, sorry. But is there a preferred brand of adapter to connect a monitor with a DVI port to the Mini DisplayPort on my 15" MBP, like Monster? Or what do you all recommend?

It honestly doesn't matter, even though some manufacturers would want you to believe otherwise. Just go with the cheapest you can find.

please do some research. when you purchase the MBP online or in the store, they tell you that an adapter is required.

Wow I wish I would have shopped around, could have saved me $20 on buying the stupid one -_-
