ADC hardware purchase shipping time?

If I order a MBP from the ADC online store, would the shipping time be the same as that ordered from regular online store? It shows on the page it will be shipped within 24 hours, but in the ADC hardware terms it says "Apple will endeavor to ship items within four to six weeks after accepting your order. Apple cannot, however, guarantee shipment within this period." Four to six weeks, that's scary.....

And also, usually how long does it take to verify the student status?

It takes a day or two at most to verify student status if you fax/e-mail. Many say it was done within hours. Shipping time is not affected, it's the same.

Just the "four to six weeks" in the terms is kind of scary....
 
If you call the ADC, they will generally pull your verification right then. It might speed up your purchase. ;)
