Has anyone purchased an ADC Student Membership just for the hardware discount as it can save $460 on a Mac Pro or $300 on a Macbook Pro (including the cost of the membership)?

How much is a base Macbook Pro if you get this? I'm starting college for computer science as well, so this could definitely be useful...Since you can't access the developer store without logging in, are you still able to purchase iPods, etc on the same order (i.e. can I get the free iPod Touch promotion)?

You can go to the store without being a member. No, the ipod promotion won't work.
