I'm probably going to purchase a MacBook later this month.
I have a 23" Cinema Display with ADC. Its currently working great with the DVI to ADC adapter from Apple.

The question is whether or not it will work with the new MacBook if I connect the ADC to DVI adapter to the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter.

Am I out of luck? Thanks.

It should work fine. ADC was just DVI with power. From what I have heard, you can get an adapter for DisplayPort to most existing connections, but not the other way around.

Works with Apple DVI to ADC adapter

Lucky that you have the Apple DVI to ADC Adapter, because I got that to work with the Mini Display Port adapter. I also have a 23" ADC Cinema Display, but got no video when using an old Dr. Bott's DVIator, then an Addlogic 2-port ADC to DVI KVM switch (although both work with my Powerbook G4). Perhaps there's some non-standard "signaling" in third-party ADC adapters?
