If you have an iMac, will it support a 2nd screen? If so, won't it look weird since the 2nd monitor will look different?

What iMac do you have? But for the most part yes.

I'd suggest google searching it and decide if you think it looks weird or not. There are a lot of nice monitors out there.

I have the latest model. What I mean is that any monitor will not be uniform with my iMac...
 
iMacs less than 3 years old will support 2 thunderbolt displays.
One issue that you would be careful about is the quality of the external display. You might like to have one that comes close to matching the 5K resolution of iMac retina's display. The appearance of the bezel may be more acceptable to you than the resulting picture on the display.
 
Also look at calibrating the monitors so they are more uniform in color
