So I left a jailbroken 4S. I've been using this since Friday and I'm missing the new car feel quite terribly. All I keep hearing is "get the s3, get the s3". I decided to go add a line tonight and get an s3 to test drive for a week or so. Mainly to see how the battery holds up. I don't care if I can't get a couple days like with my iPhone as long as I can get through a work day with same usage.
Should I torture myself and get the s3 or suck it up with this iPhone because the s3 isn't what everyone thinks about it.?

Ouch!!! iPhone getting returned tomorrow. This s3 has some many more features that having a charger here or there may be worth it.

Later Apple guys!!

Sad fact the iPhone 5 should have been the 4s and last week we should have been getting a s3 contender.

iP5 is faster than your gs3. iP5 has better graphics and display than your gs3. iP5 has a better Camera than your gs3. iP5 looks way better than your gs3.... But your right, iP5 is deff not a gs3 contender. Glad you like the gs3 though!

Way to be butthurt..

The S3 is a good phone. I won't lie. I sell them. It depends on the user. If you want the 4.8" and the Android OS then go for it.

I can't say one is better than the other. It's taste. Make a decision for yourself and stop whining.

i "test drove" s3 for 2 days and promptly returned it. couldnt be happier with iphone 5. AMOLED starts sucking after the initial bling effect wears off. Also S3 heats up the plastic in a weird feeling way and caused me hand discomfort because of the width.

I still don't understand the purpose of your thread; have fun with your s3 featuring an inferior screen and that dreadful touchwiz and S-voice? LOL.

You won't be missed.

ya also good luck getting ANY updates past jelly bean. (hint: you most likely wont because anything after jellybean will be on newer samsung phones only)

Used the S3 before (bought out of contract) and promptly resold it on CL. It's a good phone and was attractive before the 5 came out. Now that the 5 came out, it's clear that apple has put together a winning package. Glad I sold the S3 and now using my new i5

If you're going andriod, get the one x, the screen is one of the best on any smartphone, has much better design and build quality, sense is better than touch wiz, and matches the Gs3 specs (other than ram and sd card slot).

You could also get the galaxy nexus, while the hardware isn't that great, it has the best software support of any andriod handset.

Other phones I would consider over the Gs3 are the Atrix and Xperia. Though I am not a fan of Samsung products.

I agree that if you just HAVE TO HAVE a bigger screen than I would recommend the One X over the S3. RGB LCD2 > AMOLED

I've had both. I used s3 for about a month. At first I really liked it. But then I started missing the simplicity of my iPhone 4S. Easy things like sending a picture to someone was a hassle. I sold it and now have the iPhone 5. No regrets.

I own both. To me, the iphone 5 is faster, sleeker, built better and overall a more enjoyable experience than the SIII, with that in mind the SIII is an excellent phone, just not my phone of choice if I had to choose between it and the 5

From my perspective it's all about pocket real estate and weight. I honestly didn't even like the iPhone 4/4s due to the weight and thickness when wearing jeans. The 5 solves all these issues and delivers a powerhouse package. I'd probably need to buy custom tailored pants if I even considered an S3 :)

it's a tough choice for me.

Quality/consistency of an iPhone vs "features" I'll use once and forget about.

i wouldnt say getting a S3 is torture to yourself. id easily say an S3 would be my next choice after an iPhone
