Add a line to ATT Family Plan on Apple.com

I have 1 extra line I can add on my current family plan.

When I tried to preorder through Apple.com, it doesn't give me the option to add that line. Has anyone been successful adding a line to their family plan in the apple store or online?

I'm not sure how I would go about doing this. Thanks

You can't do it. You'll have to do it through your carrier.

I was able to do it last night. I went all the way to check out screen with no issues. I didn't complete the transaction because my local store did not have the phone I wanted.
