Add Airport extreme USB attached disc to time machine backup

Hi all,

due to a filling drive i have moved a lot of files to an external drive and connected to the USB port on my airport express.

The problem i have is that this disk is not being backed up to time machine - is it possible to do this?

Nope... Time Machine will not backup a networked drive like that. You could use something like Carbon Copy Cloner to automate this and copy the files from the USB drive your backup drive.

Cheers all, its an archive drive where the content rarely changes. Occasionally connecting to my laptop will have to do.
