Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to add apple care on an item that is actually discontinued by Apple.

For example, a guy told me he bought some Apple display 30" from a university that didn't used the displays and it was still in the boxes, still brand new. The guy told he even been able to add an Apple Care protection on them.

So, if I buy a brand new Apple display 30", would I be able to add apple care on it? and if yes, what's the conditions for this? (box still sealed etc etc?)

Thanks

Only if Apple or an Authorised Apple Retailer did sell them less than a year ago, or in other words, only if the item has still its original one year warranty.

As stated in the other thread, get the serial numbers and check here.

Ok, so I guess from now it's impossible since the last ones were sold in 2010..
