Hi,

i've recently installed an add blocker add-on to safari. Now my question is: If i watch a youtube clip no adds will show, but will the person still get paid for the view? or do they have a way of knowing I didn't see the add and not pay the guy. I really want to support some of these people, so if they know i'm blocking adds, I can turn it of for their videos.

I hope I can ask this here, couldn't find the answer anywhere else.

Thanks!

I think that Youtube will know that you didn't see the ad.

Or, rather, Youtube won't register that you have seen the ad. (There's a difference).

I think you'll just have to turn off Youtube ad-blocking.

If you block ads, the content producer doesn't make money. Plain and simple.*

*Almost always; there are exceptions, but if you use ad blocking, most of the sites you visit are losing money.

Ok thanks, i'll do that.
And, although I care about efficient browsing, I want to help out some of the youtubers
