Add folder as favorite to show up in such lists

When I am saving a new file, an application asks where to save the file.

In the list of places to save, I see a drop down showing:

|------------------
|Devices
| Machintosh HD
| Rob's Mac
|-------------------
|Favorites
| iCloud Drive
| Desktop
| Rob
| Applications
| Documents
|-------------------
|Recent Places
| MyLastProjectPlace
| Another Place I saved
| Yet Another Place I was


So how can I add in a directory of my choosing to the list of items in the Favorites list?
