Add metadata to MKV files

Hi

I' m searching a software that allows me to simply add metadata and cover image to a mov file without re-econding it in any way. Some years ago there are some Applescripts that allow the user to search on the web (in some movie db) and after that you can select the entry that is correct for your files and automatically download all the metadata and write it to the selected file. Very simple and straightforward but I can' t find a software that allows to do that. Can you help me? thanks
