Add password on startup?

Hi please can someone help me?

I've added a password but it only asks for password when I log out, if the computer is restarted then it doesn't ask for a password, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Go into your user & groups settings.
Then click the login options at the bottom left.
Look at automatic login, and make sure your user is not selected. (it needs to say OFF)
