I just installed Snow Leopard on my iMac, and have it updated to 10.6.8 (waiting for more RAM to arrive before I can install Lion). Went to print something and it appeared the system had "lost" the driver for my printer. So I reinstalled the driver and opened the Add Printer window. It sees the printer connected via USB, and found the driver, but when I clicked the Add button, the window froze.

The button stays highlighted, and when I move the mouse over it, it turns into the spinning wheel. I can still use other applications (though I can't move them in front of the Add Printer window). The computer still doesn't recognize the printer when I try printing. I waited a half hour and the Add Printer window didn't budge, so I restarted and tried again. Same thing happened.

I've been using this printer for years and never had a problem with 10.5 or earlier systems. Any ideas?

Thanks!
