I realize that this is an old thread, but I was wondering the same thing.

When I buy a movie from iTunes the film's rating is displayed next to the title in iTunes and on my iPhone. However, I have been unsuccessful in finding a way to add ratings to movies that I have ripped from DVDs. Is this even possible? It seems like I should be able to add this. Is this possible to do in iTunes or should I be looking for a third party application.

Downloaded and Tried MetaX. Does the trick and more. Automatically searches online for all possible info on a movie or tv show. You can then append any of what it finds to your movie file.

Digging up an old thread but the current best solution (Way better than MetaX or Lostify is Subler. It doesn't re-encode the file to write the Meta data. It's awesome. A must have.

Thanks

Using Subler I finally got my movies cleaned up and displayable on my ATV. Thanks for taking the time to post an updated hint.

Same again, sorry for resurrecting such an old thread...

but does anyone have anything working with the latest iTunes and Lion?

What about a PC?

So I have a PC at work where I do most of my ripping and adding to iTunes. Does anyone know of a solid PC substitute for Subler?
