I've recently moved my personal mobile number (SIM ONLY) contract to EE from Three here in the UK; but unfortunately as I'm a new customer, they won't allow me to add a 2nd line to my account just yet (2nd line would be for my AWU)

Can I add an eSIM (PAYG etc) to my iPhone 14PM and use that for my AWU connectivity, or does it not work like that and it has to be on the same provider as the main line?

Cheers

I thought EE just mirrored your contract onto the Apple Watch. Didn’t think it required a second line, there is usually a small monthly charge for it, but should be straightforward.

Have you tried signing up directly on the Apple Watch? That’s how I did it with Three, no second line, no need to deal with them directly

Yes; that's what led me to contact them and they confirmed as it's an eSIM, it's a separate line/number etc...

If you look at your Three account, you'll see it added to your main account (exactly what I had with Three)

Only moved because Three's SIN only price was silly whereas EE offered me 50% cheaper for the first 12 months

The AWU connectivity isn't an issue; it's rare I go anywhere without my phone TBH; more of a nice to have. They did say to contact in 3months and it should be fine then etc

Wow, with Three it’s not like that.

The bill just says smart watch pairing next to my account and the £5 charge for this. No separate line or number.
