add song to existing playlist iOS 8

In the music app if I select playlists then the the playlist I want to a add a song to, the edit button is greyed out. I tried closing/opening the music and restarting my phone to no avail.

Add songs to Playlists from other Playlists - Users can now add songs to Playlists from already existing Playlists. In iOS 7, it was only possible to add content from the Songs, Artists, Albums, Composers, and Genre tabs.
