Add subtitles to movie permanently ... how?

Can someone recommend me a good piece of software to actually add subtitles to a movie permanently?
So I don't have a .avi and a .srt, but one .avi with the subtitles in the movie?


Unless someone knows how to watch a movie with subtitles in iTunes?
