Adding a line on Verizon, what's the scoop?

Looking to add a line possibly to my account for my Dad. He's been on Alltel for years, and the coverage is garbage around my area.

I pay about $112 a month. Would it be just an extra $30 a month? Plus, would he get to choose a new phone? I'm on an iPhone 5, white, 16gb now. Thought about getting his new phone and giving him mine.

I don't care about the 5s, but do actually like the new 5c models. Isn't it suppose to replace the 5? I just need more GB's really.

I have verizon and it is $40 per month for smart phone. The share data family plan is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

If I wanted the iPhone 5C 32GB, I'm sure he'd have to pay the $199 up front. That's cool.
