Carrier Adding a line on VZW

If I add a line on VZW and pay full price for the phone, am I adding a contract for the line or can I cancel at any time?

If you pay full price with no agreement you do not have to have a contract on that line.

Yes. If you pay full price and have no contractual agreement you can cancel. I did this with adding an old iPhone to my plan. Just make sure to not take any promotional offers when adding the line, those usually come with contracts hidden.
