So I'm going to be at the Apple store in Augusta, Ga on Friday morning waiting in line for God knows how long to get an iPhone 5. But, before I do that I want to make sure that I am allowed to add a line to another person's account (My Dad's account). He won't be with me but I will have a previous Verizon bill, his social security number, and the account holder's (his) phone number. Should I have any problems with this since he won't be with me. Or will I just give them the information they need with no questions asked? Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

would be best to call the store and ask them.

He has to add you to the account as an authorized account administrator. You can do that within the website. You will also need to know his billing password.

I'd suggest that as well.

When I worked for Apple Retail, the policy was that the account holder was the only person that could add lines. This was a year or two ago, and at that time, Apple Retail didn't have the ability to see if additional people on the account were authorized to do add lines or not. Not sure if Apple's updated their policy (or added the ability to see if others are authorized).

Also, it was just a policy. There was nothing to prevent an Apple employee from letting someone that wasn't the account holder add a line, as long as they had the telephone number and account holders name and last four of the SSN.

Thank you very much! We just added my name to the "Assign Account Managers" section on the Verizon website as well as a billing password.

Thank you. I will call Apple in a few to verify everything.
