Is it possible to add a non-apple display to the new iMacs? If so what cables will be required?
 
mini displayport to hdmi/dvi/etc adapter will work just fine

from iMac page on Apple's site:
"Mini DisplayPort output with support for DVI, VGA, and dual-link DVI (adapters sold separately)"
