Adding a top or bottom border on a .mov file using iMovie

I use a presentation software called ProPresenter and use .mov files as moving backgrounds. However, due to the setup of the stage, I need to add a black border to the bottom or even the top of the .mov file to keep it from blinding anyone on the stage. Any idea on how to do this? Or even with another program? Thanks in advance!
