I just got a new Mac Pro. Is it better to add SSD now when the master hard drive has only OS on it? Would it be possible to migrate an operating system to SSD later? I assume that it will be harder to clone OS if the master drive has mode data then SSD size.

Thank you,
Alex.

easy to clone over anytime ;) just dont let your boot drive get to big
meaning dont keep documents music and such in the documents folder keep them on a HDD for data !
if you need more ask away :)

I have one 1Tb HDD in. So, it looks like, in order to make it easier in the future to migrate to SSD drive, I would need to keep my OS on master HDD and add another HDD for data only.

or get another HDD :)

or keep everything their then just do a fresh instal and migrate the main stuff over ? keep the one now for storage ? again wont be a big issue :)
