OWC seems to have a great DIY video for doing this and I am planning to make the attempt, BUT does installing an OWC SSD in my July 2010 iMac cause any problems with the 3 year extended warranty? This may be an Apple question, but if anyone knows the answer, please let me know. I could not find anything about it on Apple's website. Btw, if anyone has experience performing this upgrade please let me know your thoughts, i.e., difficulty level, performance enhancements. etc. Thanks.

I did the upgrade and it was very easy, just watch the video twice and then do it step by step.
It would of course void the extended warranty if they know you did it. I bet you could pull it out and put everything back in and be fine. There are no warranty void stickers.
There are great prices on SSDs, I put this 512GB (currently $390)model in.
It screams now.
