So I've been adding avi's to itunes in order to avoid spending countless hours converting them all the mp4. It's working wonderfully, except for one problem that really annoys me. I can't seem to add artwork to any of the video files once they're in itunes... anyone know of any solution to this?

iTunes does not recognize AVI files. I presume you are creating QuickTime media links to the file (which generate a small KB file)? You cannot edit the meta data of these. The alternative is to create a QuickTime reference file (this creates a small MB file). You can edit the meta data of these files.
