My laptop didn't come with it built in. Can you purchase the module seperately and then install it? Or you can only have it if you ordered your ibook with it as an option?

California said:No it's not BTO only. you can get it off of one of the powerbook fix it sites or an Apple tech can get one for you. I had one installed on a 12" iBook 1.2ghz for about 70 or 80 bucks as I recall.

California said:Unitek in Santa Monica. Tech there ordered the bluetooth chip and antenna and put it in with a superdrive, new hard drive. Worked very very well; designed for the non bluetooth iBook. But Mad Jew is right -- I think that fix it site is where I saw the thing in the first place.
