Adding bookmark folder to favorites bar

Is there a way to add a bookmark folder to your favorites bar? My daughter has a lot of favorites and want to make a few folder and put them on the favorites bar.

Yes, the same way you would add folders when editing Bookmarks Menu ( > View > Show Bookmarks Sidebar ), you can add folders to Favorites. You can even simply drag an existing folder from Bookmarks Menu to the Favorites Bar.

ok, i just tried it on my macbook and it works. but when i try it on my daughters macbook, it won't let me drag anything up to the favorites bars. is there some kind of lock that i need to unlock?
