Adding buddies on iChat

There's this annoying feature in iChat when I try to add buddies to my list... they're always added to my first group! I then have to manually move the buddy to the correct group. Anyone know a fix for this?

Also, my buddy names & group names are alphabetical, which isn't what i want! Is there a way to override this feature?

iChat is limited in customization, but you can go to view, and then change it to order people alphabetically, by status, or.. something else.

When you go to add a buddy, click the group name you want it to go in first, and then click add buddy - it should go to the right group.

hmm that's not workign for me, it still goes to the top group...

All of them go directly into buddies normally, which is better than previous behaviour where it put a new person into every group.

The only way to manage it (so far) is to drag and drop while groups are enabled.
