can anyone confirm this? i can no longer drag a document to the sidebar (i still have the ones i put there BEFORE updating to 10.7.2.

but now i can't add any; i CAN add folders, just not files...
tried rebooting, repairing permissions...

anyone?

seems really...random. u can only add folders.
but the docs i put there in 10.7.1 are still there.

You are right. I've been pounding my head over this, thinking it was a permissions problem.

So Apple makes these changes, totally screws up my workflow, wastes our time. Sigh. The Sidebar has always been a key part of my system, as I've always hated the dock and use it as little as possible.

But people complained about the lack of color and icons in the sidebar with Lion...so what does Apple do? They castrate the Sidebar and tell us, "Take that, you whiners. You'll do it our way and like it."

Ugh.

Ugh.

By the way, in trying to figure out this problem, on the Apple Forums I added a much milder comment than the above...essentially I just said "If this is not a bug, then I'm not happy."

Post deleted by Apple. Sigh.

it's annoying, pointless. will figure out a way to get a few chosen docs back on the sidebar (or die trying)... :D

and so...hold COMMAND while dragging a file to the sidebar, and order is restored. :D

now if i can just scale down the launchpad icons...
