I have always wanted a French dictionary built in to the Mac's. I'm surprised and disappointed that a French one has not been added along side of the Spanish, German, etc. that are coming in Mountain Lion.
I'm wondering now if I could find and add one myself. Could someone please help?

You are asking more or less the same thing as I did two months ago.

I thought I heard from WWDC that Mountain Lion is going to have more language dictionary built-in...I think Chinese being one, not sure about French.
Yes, you're lucky. You get Chinese, but still no French for me.
I wonder why they had Japanese for so long, but not other first world languages. And why they're still not adding French. French is usually the second language for anything.
