adding "google-analytics.com" to hosts

I've added
127.0.0.1 google-analytics.com (also ssl.google-analytics.com)
to hosts file but it seems like websites can still track browsing. It also redirects to http://www.google.com/analytics/ in the browser.

is anything wrong ?
