This feature is available in MobileMe but not yet on iOS that I know of. Has anyone found a work around?

I currently forward all my mail to MobileMe but still want to send mail using the SMTP server from the account I forward to MobileMe from. I currently have it setup but it always tells me that it cannot retrieve mail from the server...

In mobileme you can add just the server to send from... has anyone figured out how to do this in iOS?

Thanks,

Jack

From what I've seen, each mail account can have its own SMTP server settings.
Go Settings->Mail,Contacts, Calendars->Account you wish to change->Account->Outgoing Mail Server
From there, you can select to use the primary SMTP server and/or alternatives.

Exchange server

The real problem comes when using the "exchange" option in iOS. I use gmail as my exchange server (for the push, and all the other benefits) but want to add the smtp for the account I actually want to send from (@markyr17.com)

As of now it's not possible without creating another account.
