I had AppleCare+ on my iPad Pro M4 and recently converted it to AppleCare One. I also have the Magic Keyboard for iPad and read in the T&C for AppleCare One that the keyboard must be registered with Apple under the Covered Device (iPad) as an Accessory to receive coverage. I bought the keyboard after the iPad and never added it to AppleCare. When I try now to add it to my AppleCare One plan, I don’t see it as an eligible device. I have had numerous calls with AppleCare+ Plan Administration and AppleCare One teams at Apple and they are not able to tell me why I can’t add it. I also went to my local Apple Store and they were not able to give any advice, other than to say “don’t worry, if you need service on the keyboard, all we do is check to see that you have coverage on the iPad and then we will allow it.” For those who have successfully added their keyboards or Apple Pencil to their AppleCare+ or AppleCare One plans, can you describe how you did it and do you see the accessory listed on your plan?

I just called Apple TECHNICAL support, not AppleCare, and spoke to a technician who specializes in iPad on the phone. I gave them the serial number for the Magic Keyboard and shared my screen to share the original purchase receipt. The rep added it within 5 minutes to AppleCare. The best way to confirm this add is to go to checkcoverage.apple.com and type in the serial number of your Magic Keyboard.
