Adding Line Verizon

We have an old plan on Verizon with 5 lines (4 iPhones). Verizon told me if we were to add a 6th line, we would have to change to one of the new plans and we would all lose our unlimited data plans and have to choose a tiered plan. Is this correct or would we get to keep our unlimited plans and just the new 6th line would have to choose a tiered plan? Thanks
