The new Mac Pro come swith 2GB of memory. If I buy another 4GB (2 x "GB sticks) of Memory from crucial, can I add it to the memory of the new Mac Pro without any problems?

Yes you can, BUT, Crucial don't have it yet, should be available in just over a week or so.

I'm assuming you meant 2x2GB. And yes it will work fine, though you'll want to shoot for 4 matched sticks for optimum bandwith.

Yeah, I mean't 2 x 2GB!! When you say "4 matched sticks" you mean 4 x 2GB right? and do they have to be the same brand or is that totally irrelevant?

cheers,
