Adding midi files to Garageband loop browser

... isn't working. I just bought Submersible Music's "Kitcore deluxe" and it came with a ton of midi files. I can see them in finder, and i can straight drag them to gb, but they wont show in the loop browser. I've dragged the folders and the individual files onto the browser like the help file suggested, but still nothing. I'm on 10.4 (all updated) with the last version of garageband before this new one from ilife 08. Can anyone think of why this wouldn't work?
