I have a G4 MDD 1.25 GHz, the last model that boots OS 9. It was originally configured without a modem. Is adding one now a simple matter of ordering the service part and installing it? Or is it more involved?

Alternatively, are there any PCI slot modems or external USB models available that work with OS X?

Suggestions appreciated.

As far as I know, adding a modem is as simple as buying it in PCI form and sticking it in. Or buying an extrenal one and just plugging in it via USB. I don't think I would bother trying to get the one that would fit where it would be if you ordered it that way, if you can even do that.

Hope that helps.
