adding multiple external devices

Before buying a new MacBook Air or Pro, I want to ensure I can keep the connectivity I have now with my mid-2014 MacBook Pro with an external USB 3 hub.
I am looking to add simultaneous

1. charging
2. DisplayPort to external Dell Monitor (Works with direct connection from Mid-2014 MacBook Pro)
3. USB 2 Apple SuperDrive (may need to be connected directly to MacBook)
4. USB to the (above mentioned) Dell Monitor HUB to drive
   1. Dell Soundbar
   2. external Mouse
   3. Apple Keyboard
5. Two USB 3 external HDs
6. Secure Digital (SDXC)
7. when the external Dell DisplayPort not in use, an HDMI to external television.

I *think* the $120 OWC USB-C Dock will allow this. Are there other options to keep the connections I have? Any advice or report of experience with this or other docks is appreciated. Thanks.
