How do you add new contacts to your address book from an existing company already with contacts in your iphone address book? Surely there is a function that will allow you to duplicate and edit the contact and phone numbers??

I don't know of a simple way to do this, only a rather annoying workaround:
  1. go to the contact in your address book
  2. at the bottom of the contact info tap on "Share Contact"
  3. text it to yourself
  4. tap on the contact you just received
  5. then tap on "Create New Contact"
That should duplicate it after which you can go in and change whatever you need.

Worked like a champ....thanks so much. Better than retyping....and with text to type it is pretty simple with the 4S!
