Quick question - wife and I currently have an AT&T Next account, both with an iPhone 6s. We have a friend that is giving us his iPhone 6s (he's on AT&T as well - phone is paid off), so that we can give it to our son.

Couple of questions:

1) I can just login online to my AT&T account and order a new SIM online correct? We have the IMEI number of the phone he's sending.

2) If so, when does AT&T assign a new phone number to that SIM? During the online order or when it's activated?

3) Lastly - with the 3 phones on the account - can we switch SIM cards between them at anytime? Meaning, if I swap the SIM between 2 of the phones - the phones will just get the new number correct? Does anything need to be done online with AT&T and updating the IMEI? Or will that get auto updated when the phone connects to the network?

Thanks!

-Kevin

Just an update: I successfully ordered the new SIM online and went through the process of selecting the Area code/location.

Still looking for anyone with experience on #3. Can SIM cards be swapped?
