I've been trying to add a new font (samarkan) to word, ive gone through trying to add it through FontBook, and through the library. I've done it all but the font just doesnt show up in Word. Is it because its a .tiff and not .otf?

Oh, and I have MS Word 2011

Please Help!
Thanks :]

A tiff file is an image. For a mac, the file type you would most likely need is .ttf or .otf. There are more font file types available, but those two are the most common.

so does that mean the font won't work if its a .tiff? I can download it successfully but it won't load into Word or anything by MS. Is there a way to import it other than using the Font Book and the library?

No, a .tiff is a picture. A font is a different kind of file type, such as a .ttf.
