Adding RAM to Mac Pro (2006)

I saw these at BestBuy the other day:

All seems like it should work in my Mac Pro (667Mhz DDR2 Dimms)

I do remember when the Mac Pros first came out, the OS would disable ram that didn't meet Apples standards.

Anyone have any experience with these dimms from best buy?

You need fully buffered ECC RAM.

I had a feeling that that memory may not work. Still, it might but I will just order some from OWC. I've bought several laptop drives from them in the past, and have nothing but good experiences with them (including one drive that was DOA).

don't buy that RAM from best buy. it will not work.
